Swapping & Trading Guide

Swapping on gwandi is easy! Here's how it works:

1. Browse Listings: Explore offers and requests in your local area.
2. Make an Offer: Found something you like? Click "Request Swap" or "Make Offer" to start a conversation.
3. Chat & Agree: Discuss the details with your neighbour. Agree on a time, place, and the terms of the swap.
4. Complete the Swap: Meet up to exchange the item or service.
5. Mark as Complete: Once done, mark the swap as complete in the app to update your records and leave a review.

gwandi uses a Time Bank system to make exchanges fair and flexible.

• 1 Hour = 1 Credit: Providing one hour of service earns you one Time Credit.
• Earn & Spend: You can earn credits by helping one neighbour (e.g., gardening) and spend them on a different service from another neighbour (e.g., piano lessons).
• Balance: Keep track of your credits in your Wallet. You can't spend credits you don't have, so start by offering help!

• Be Clear: Describe your item or service accurately. Include photos and details about condition or duration.
• Communicate: Respond to messages promptly and be polite.
• Be Reliable: Show up on time and follow through on your commitments.
• Leave Reviews: Reviews help build a trusted community. Always leave honest feedback after a swap.
